The platform is supplemented by Workshop Templates, an Online Learning Course, as well as a User Tutorial. An API can be made available on request.

Workshop templates: Quick guides with sample templates to plan and conduct targeted adaptation workshops using aCLIMAtar. The quick guide provides an overview of workshops to sensitize producers and cooperatives to climate change and move towards an adaptation plan. They build on aCLIMAtar, its data views and solution space. The guide is tailored for climate adaptation work in perennial cropping systems (cocoa, coffee, tea) and available in English and Spanish. You will learn about the following four use cases, together with methodological guidance on how to facilitate workshops:

  • Use case 1: Joint reflection on the past and future climate
  • Use case 2: Diving in - change of agro-climatic suitability zones (ACZs) 
  • Use case 3: Choice of adaptation options.
  • Use case 4: Hotspot analysis.

Learning course: Decision-making in a Changing Climate: From Analysis to Guided Adaptation Action in Cocoa, Coffee and Tea Farming Systems.

This course equips you with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively address the challenges posed by climate change in cocoa, coffee, and tea. By enhancing your understanding of climate impacts and enabling you to utilize climate data within a comprehensive framework, this course aims to empower you to prioritize and implement adaptation strategies that can mitigate climate risks and foster resilience in cocoa, coffee, and tea production. Such capacity-building endeavours are vital for safeguarding the livelihoods of millions of farmers and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the respective industries.

Tutorial: User tutorial on the navigation of the aCLIMAtar platform.

These short video tutorials provide you with the basics on how to navigate aCLIMAtar. The step-by-step videos, available in English, French and Spanish provide insights on topics like different ways to add a location, accessing climate data and practice recommendations, printing a report or also saving your location for later retrieval. Thereby, users can easily get started on using the platform.

API: Application Programming Interface for aCLIMAtar.
